This is Who We Are provides a “north star” to guide the Forest Service as it delivers its mission into the future.
It also establishes a set of practices to guide us in doing our best in serving the public, delivering conservation, and working with each other. It’s an impressive framework that newly expresses our agency purpose and values. It’s the culmination of 20 years of purposeful conversations and discovery by employees, partners, and the public we serve. Last year I introduced us to the values and behaviors outlined in “ This is Who We Are” (internal link), a guide that describes who we are on our best days, but also who we aspire to be every day.
